The freezing rain in central and northern New Brunswick combined with high winds have left more than 117 thousand homes and businesses without power around the province with over 800 outages.
That number includes over 38 thousand homes and businesses in the Moncton area, over 62 hundred in the Fredericton area, more than 19 thousand on the Acadian Peninsula and 9thousand in Kings and Queen’s counties.
Almost 700 hundred customers are without electricity in the Kennebecasis Valley and Fundy, mostly in Hampton.
240 plus customers are in the dark in Charlotte Southwest, most of them are in Harvey.
There are no estimated times when the power will be restored.
Saint John Energy reports no outages as the city escaped the worst of the freezing rain.
