The Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County group have been notified that staff are currently being recalled back into the operating room at the Charlotte County Hospital.
Co-chair of the group, John Gardner says he doesn’t know much more at this point.
He tells us they met with the Premier yesterday, and Brian Gallant pledged he would try to encourage Horizon Health to revisit the decision to close the operating room in St. Stephen.
“One thing that we did get out of the meeting yesterday was there is a commitment that they are now at least willing to talk to us. Which is a Big thing. And I think we need to be in talks with government. I also think we need to be in talks with Horizon Health.”
Gardner says he has been reaching out to the Horizon representative for our area, in which he has not recieved a response yet.
