Work Begins On Federal Strategy To Combat Gender Based Violence

Federal Status of Women Minister Patty Hajdu will be spending the next few months gathering information to come up with a strategy to combat gender based violence which is a mandate she has been given by Prime Minister Trudeau.

She has begun her consultations and an advisory council has also been formed to help her come up with a strategy. Hajdu admits there has not been a comprehensive approach on the part of the federal government to date.

Hajdu is also interested in hearing more about what the federal government can do on the issue of cyber violence including online harassment.
