The 2017 East Coast Music Awards in Saint John seem even closer now with the nominees being revealed.
The event is coming up in April and the nominees include New Brunswickers FWLR, Tristan Horncastle and Tomato Tomato.

Classified and Ria Mae have several nominations each including Solo recording and Song of the year.
ECMA award show host James Mullinger says he prepares differently for an event like this.
He says in some ways its easier because he is given a script he has to follow adding people are not there to see James Mullinger be funny so he has to step back and let the performers shine.

The ECMA gala award show is on Thursday April 27th at Harbour Station and Matt Anderson is featured in the Big Ticket show on Saturday April 29th at the Trade and Convention Centre.
Tickets are on sale now for all events and organizers are urging Saint Johners to go against type and buy their tickets early.
