It won’t be uptown but Moosehead Breweries is adding a small-batch brewery to the west side brewhouse.
Construction starts next week on the small batch brewery and tap room with an opening scheduled next May.
It will have a 20-barrel brewing system and a 3-barrel pilot system allowing Moosehead to create new beers in smaller amounts and offer them for sale in the tap room or at bars and restaurants.
Congratulations @MooseheadLager on opening small batch brewery Great news for west SJ! @TheChamberSJ

Moosehead Breweries President Andrew Oland says the company is excited to have the flexibility to experiment in ways that can be difficult in their primary brewhouse.
The new brewery will also have a retail store, a growler fill station and a selection of Moosehead merchandise for sale.
The company plans to do some hiring leading up to the opening of new brewery next year.
