Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale has released a statement saying the RCMP took action to ensure public safety after receiving credible information about a possible terrorist threat.
The RCMP will be elaborating later today about what led to the shooting death of ISIS supporter, Aaron Driver in Strathroy, Ontario, a town northwest of London.
The 24 year old Driver was under a peace bond with restrictions after a court appearance in Winnipeg last year because of what he posted on social media in praise of terrorism including the attack on Parliament Hill.
Suspect of terrorist threat was identified and proper course of action taken to ensure no danger to the public. https://t.co/XSuRWUbMsj
