Codiac RCMP are investigating after two armed robberies at separate banks.
Corporal Dan Allain says they were called to the Scotiabank at 796 Mountain Road yesterday shortly before 5 o’clock.
A man walked into the bank with a firearm, and demanded money.
“The suspect was described as approximately 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, 25 to 35 years of age, he spoke English, he wore a black Ecko brand hoodie, with a white emblem on the front, a black hat, and a black bandana with white markings covering his face,” says Allain.
Allain reports around an hour later, a man walked into the RBC at 231 Champlain Street in Dieppe with a firearm.
In both cases, the suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Dieppe robbery suspect is described as English speaking, white, 5’8 to 6 feet tall, with a thin build – he was wearing a black ball cap with an unknown logo, dark jacket, blue jeans and a black bandana over his face.
At this point it’s not known if the two robberies are connected.
Anyone with information is asked to call Codiac RCMP.
