No charges have yet been laid in the death of RCMP Constable Francis Deschênes.
RCMP need help as they investigate the highway crash near Memramcook involving an SUV, a police cruiser and a cargo van which claimed the life of the Amherst-based officer.
Mounties want to speak with drivers who saw a dark blue Dodge TK 2008 cargo van with a Pennsylvania license plate, ZBN•8883, travelling eastbound on the Trans Canada Highway between Moncton and Memramcook on Tuesday, September 12th around 6pm.
If anyone has information, you’re asked to contact RCMP at 506-364-5023.
Meantime, the male driver of the cargo van was taken into police custody shortly after the crash but he has been released on conditions.
