Transit Wins Big In Bilateral Agreement Between Ottawa and Fredericton

Premier Brian Gallant and Government House Leader Dominic LeBlanc have announced a federal-provincial agreement in Moncton which will fund various infrastructure projects across New Brunswick.

The 176 million dollar fund will support upgrades to water and sewer services and public transit with municipalities contributing as well.

LeBlanc says this infrastructure announcement is only the beginning from the Trudeau government.

He says they are announcing phase 1 which is a small portion of a 120 billion dollar ten year federal investment but they want Canadians to tell them their ideass for the next much bigger much richer phase.

Saint John Transit is the big winner with over 7 million dollars combined from the Feds and the province to modernize service.
Some of the infrastructure projects that will funded in Saint John are in the north end and on the west side.

A major infrastructure project in St. Stephen will see improvements for Elm Park and Maple.
