The oldest continuously published periodical in North America is marking a milestone this year.
Famous for its long-range weather forecasts, the Old Farmer’s Almanac is celebrating its 225th anniversary edition.
Managing editor Jack Burnett says readers keep turning to the almanac each year because it has something for everyone.
“Articles, not just about the weather, but also about astronomy, food, gardening, history, humour, trends and so on,” he notes.
Burnett says the almanac is fun and trustworthy which are two important things in life and he believes that’s why it has such an enduring appeal.
