Horizon Health Looking To Reward Groups Or Individuals Who Make Their Communities Healthier

The Horizon Health Network is looking for worthy recipients for Community Health Recognition Awards.

Horizon Health Network CEO John McGarry says good health is more than just good healthcare, since it starts with where people live, work and play.

He says these 12 awards will be given to individuals or groups that are making a difference in helping communities be healthier.

Three awards, worth $500 will be granted in four cities around the province, including Moncton and Saint John.

There are six categories, ranging from Seniors Wellness, to Food Security, and Mental Health.

Applications are due on February 17, 2017 and winners will be announced in April at Horizon’s Board Meeting.

Winners will be selected by Horizon’s Local Community Engagement Committees in Fredericton, Miramichi, Moncton and Saint John.
