NAFTA Negotiations Enter Round Three

The Trudeau Government and Trump Administration hold different views about climate change. How that will play out in the negotiations now going on with the North American Free Trade Agreement remains to be seen.

Federal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna says there are differing views within the U.S. as well. She says California Governor Jerry Brown and other American leaders are moving on climate action because they can see the economic opportunities.

McKenna vows Canada will be pushing for strong environmental standards, saying they will be good for North America by giving Canada, the U.S. and Mexico a competitive advantage.
