Scratch Ticket Reveals Big Win For Nova Scotia Couple

Celebrations from Superbowl Sunday continue, but this particular celebration, doesn’t have anything to do with a football game.

Jim Oldfield and his fiance Liz Sayer were in Moncton yesterday to pick up a rather large cheque, that they received because of a scratch and win ticket..

Oldfield says he slipped out during halftime on Superbowl Sunday to buy a few scratch and win tickets. His purchase included a few Crossword tickets and a Mega Cash ticket, that he bought for Liz..

He ended up scratching all of the tickets himself, and the Mega Cash ticket revealed a win of 1.5 million dollars.

The newly engaged couple from Bedford, Nova Scotia says their plans for the money include education costs for their kids, a cottage in Cape Breton, and a family trip.
