Warnings are coming from the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure today.
With this winter storm, low visibility and poor road conditions, it is advised that you avoid travel wherever possible, and allow the plows to do their work.
Motorists are advised that if they do have to head out, you should check the conditions first, before taking any risks.
If you do find yourself stuck on the highways, in the snow, make sure your muffler is clear. If it becomes blocked by snow, you ridsk being poisoned by carbon monoxide, that can lead to serious illness or even death..
