Satisfaction with the patient experience in hospitals around the province is getting better according to the latest survey from the New Brunswick Health Council.
Almost 79 per cent of respondents rated their hospital stay favourably which is higher than the previous surveys carried out in 2010 and 2013.
67 and a half per cent were satisfied at how their pain was controlled and more than 72 per cent were happy at how well they communicated with nurses.
The Health Council’s Stephane Robichaud says there’s still a lot of improvement needed with cleanliness with only 51.7 per cent satisfied with how clean their rooms and washrooms were kept.
