Fire crews spent the night at a train derailment on the east side.
Five rail cars slipped off the tracks during snow clearing on Rothesay Avenue behind Signature Auto.
The butane in the rail cars is flammable and had to be first transferred to other rail cars which took six and a half hours to complete. After that, the residual gas inside has to be burned off.
We have been told there is no risk to public safety because there was no spillage or leakage even though one of the rail cars was damaged.
