A Saint John Air Cadet Squadron Cleans Up at Oromocto Competition

A Saint John air cadet squadron is feeling proud after winning big at a competition in Oromocto on the weekend.

The Royal Canadian air cadet squadron 161 C.K. Beveridge placed first out of the 18 corps and squadrons that took part in the band competition.

Cadet Flight Sergeant Arianne Caissie says it was her fifth and final year at competition so it was nice to leave on a high note.

The squadron’s commanding officer Captain April Phinney says they put a lot of work into the band routine and it’s good to see them recognized for their hard work.

Over 400 cadets from New Brunswick and P.E.I. took part in this year’s competition.
