Hockey Team Helps Those Impacted By Ice Storm In Acadian Peninsula

A hockey team from western New Brunswick is making an important delivery to the Acadian Peninsula to help those in the storm affected region.

The Brennan Home Hardware Northwest Peewee AAA are hauling over 500 pounds of potatoes and several cases of McCain French friends to the north shore to help those affected by January’s ice storm.

This is not the first time the team, has formed what they call, a “Spudline” to donate to those in need. Last October, they bagged 1.5 tons of potatoes and delivered them to food banks throughout the St. John River Valley in time for Thanksgiving.

They’ll also be making other deliveries to help ease the region’s food shortage.

The team is made up of players from Woodstock, Perth and Florenceville..
