The National Basketball League of Canada has taken action after a brawl broke out between the Saint John Riptide and the Kitchener/Waterloo Titans last week.
Nine Riptide players and three Titans players have been suspended.
The two teams received a combined $13-thousand dollars in fines.
NBL Commissioner David Magley hopes the suspensions and fines make a statement to all of the fans and players, that the league is serious about setting a good example for youth.
