Public meetings will be held in April, in those hard hit communities his by the ice storm in January.
They are a part of a complete post-action review.
The meetings are planned in Bas-Caraquet, Lameque, Miramichi, Richibucto and Tracadie, with specific times and dates of the meetings to be announced in the coming weeks.
The 90 minute meetings will allow residents to share their experiences and ideas in response to the ice storm. Participants can also share feedback by emailing 2017JanuaryIceStorm@gnb.ca.
The storm hit central and eastern New Brunswick from January 24 to 26th, with more than 130 thousand residents left without power, some of them for more than 11 days.
Over 50 warming centres were established in affected regions.
A disaster financial assistance program was also put into place and to date more than 24 hundred damage reports have been received and 564 health and safety inspections have been completed.
The post-action review report with recommendations will be completed by July 2017.
