Grand Manan Under Rainfall Warning

Islands in the Bay of Fundy could be in for some flooding this week.

Environment Canada issuing a rainfall warning for Grand Manan and coastal Charlotte County, with up to 30 mms of rain expected by Thursday night.

Combined with the melting snow, and the frozen ground won’t be able to absorb much of the rainfall, localized flooding could be possible in low-lying areas.

The forecaster says you should be on the look-out for washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts.

At this point, St. Stephen, and areas further inland are only expecting up to 20 mms of rain.
