The city is responding to any complaints from west side residents about their drinking water which now comes from the South Bay Wellfield instead of Spruce Lake.
The water is hard and can leave spots on dishes and your bathtub. This, we are told, is caused by having more minerals in the water which make it healthier to drink and your soap won’t lather up as much.

The city also says the drinking water from Spruce Lake did not meet Canadian water quality guidelines and argues public health was at risk.
