The Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce held a big gala at the Trade and Convention Centre to honour the best local businesses for the year.
MCL Construction, founded in 1978, won the Business Excellence Award. Its motto is “Lets build it right the first time”.
Breakout Saint John took the Emerging Enterprise Award with the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award going to River and Trail Outdoor Company which began in 2012.
The Big Heart Award this year goes to the PALS program that helps local schools which need it and Job Burns of Busy Day Chef is the Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
The Chair’s Award went to the New Brunswick Museum and the Passion for Change Award was given to Yennah Hurley along with Vanessa and Mike Duncan.
