Warning About Natural Gas Prices

If you use natural gas in New Brunswick, you better prepare yourself for much higher prices in the years ahead. That warning being voiced by Provincial Conservative leader Blaine Higgs.

He’s worried about what happens when the supply of natural gas off the coast of Nova Scotia dries up because if natural gas has to be brought here from the midwestern U.S., the transportation costs would be significant with a major impact on pricing.

Higgs points out the supply of natural gas from Sable Island is just about at end of life in the range of 2019-2020.

He also claims the Enbridge deal will tie the hands of the province when it comes to having competitive gas in New Brunswick.
