In the NHL, former Sea Dog Mike Hoffman scored a power play goal early in the third period which proved to be the winner in Ottawa’s 4-2 win over Boston. The win allowed the Senators to take a four point lead over the Bruins with two games in hand……The New York Rangers blanked Tampa Bay in overtime 1-0……It was Dallas over Washington 4-2 and San Jose got by Winnipeg 3-2.

Suspensions will be handed out in the aftermath of a brawl during a Junior B hockey game at the LBR last Saturday night but City Police say no charges have been laid and no one was injured. The Southern Sting beat the Grand Lake Moose 4-2 and have advanced to the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League finals.
