It’s A Dreaded Time For Some–Time Change Weekend

One of the most dreaded times of the year has arrived again – turning the clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Savings Time.

An associate professor of psychology at Mount Allison University is baffled that we still change the time twice a year.

Genevieve Desmarais says the spring forward change has a big impact on almost everyone.

She says the biggest impact is the lack of sleep that follows the time change because you are getting up an hour earlier the next day and the next week until your body adjusts.

Statistics show that on the Monday following the time change, traffic accidents in Canada typically go up by about 7 percent compared to other Mondays.

Don’t forget to spring forward by one hour at 2-am.
