Pap tests can save lives and this week the Women’s Health Centre at the St. Joseph’s hospital is hosting a free drop-in pap test clinic.
No appointment is needed to get the pap test, you just drop in and register with your Medicare care in the main lobby from 9am to 3pm on Thursday.
A pap test is the only way to detect abnormal cells in the cervix and this clinic is part of a larger pap testing campaign by the Federation of Medical Women of Canada to raise awareness of cervical cancer.
