A new government program will help offset some costs for New Brunswickers who adopt children.
Families and Children Minister Stephen Horsman says the one time grant of $1,000 will be available to those who have adopted a child under the age of 18 in the one year prior to their funding application.
The adoption must be recognized by the province and the young person being adopted must be living permanently with the adoptive family in New Brunswick.
