A special guest paid a visit to Fredericton this week. Rebecca Schofield was recognized by the members of the provincial legislature.
#beccatoldmeto was in the house yesterday. She is someone who inspires Nbers and is inspired by NBers. Very special honour for The Assembly. pic.twitter.com/Qx5vK7Hj8t

The Riverview teen has inspired people around the world with her #Beccatoldmeto, and that includes members of the New Brunswick legislature.
Moncton Centre MLA and Speaker of the House Chris Collins was reminded of his time with his son Sean, who passed away after a fight with cancer in 2007, at the age of 13, “The courage and the incredible social conscience and the maturity that these kids develop. It did bring back a lot of memories. They lose that childhood innocence so quickly, unfortunately because of the fact that they are going through such tough regimens. Rebecca or any of the other 50 children all going through the battles, all have that in common.”
Collins adds, “All of the members of the Legislature were starstruck with Rebecca.”
Collins says he is extremely proud of Rebecca because she is a great example to New Brunswickers, but she is also a terrific example of a New Brunswicker.
