Big Brothers-Big Sisters has a great night lined up for this week in Saint John as it holds the first annual Inspire Mentoring Awards.
It will bring together stakeholders from business, non-profit and government sectors to celebrate and recognize the importance of mentoring across all sectors of the community from Sussex to Charlotte County.
These Inspire Awards celebrate mentoring and raise funds as well according to one soon to be recipient Tara Shannon, a singer from Eastern Ontario who says being a big brother or sister can be a lot of fun.
Shannon has written a song called Be You which is about girls celebrating their uniqueness.
All download proceeds for the song go to Big Brothers-Big Sisters. The gala event is Wednesday night at the Delta Marriot in Saint John.
