Travellers Still Heading South To Escape Endless NB Winter

Spring may have officially arrived last week but winter just doesn’t want to let go of New Brunswick.

As a result, many travellers are still heading south to Mexico or the Caribbean to escape the snow and cold.

Francine Patterson with Maritime Travel says despite media reports suggesting some areas may be not be safe, she says her colleague had a great experience this winter with a large group.

“She took a group of more than 200 people to Mexico and there was not one incident,” she notes.

Patterson says most clients are not deterred about travelling south even if they hear about negative incidents noting how violence can happen anywhere.

She urges her clients to use common sense wherever they travel.
