New Brunswick-made wines will be getting a lot more exposure.
A deal between the province’s wine industry and Sobeys means all of its grocery stores in New Brunswick will now be carrying local wine.
Vins NB Wines executive director Joe Gallant says consumers will benefit because it means one-stop shopping for food and drink.
“It’s a revenue generator for us because it is point-of-sales which we didn’t have before. We’re going forward with it and it’s a great partnership,” he notes.
Gallant adds it’s a win-win for everyone since consumers tend to visit grocery stores several times a week and it will be easy to pair up wines with your food shopping list.
Wine has been featured in select grocery stores since 2014 when NB Liquor launched a pilot project.
