A 35 year old man has been handed a prison term of 8 and and a half years in prison for assaulting and kidnapping a woman in order to stop her from testifying against him.
John Philip “B-J” Trecartin was convicted on 9 charges. They include unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon, making threats to kill her and obstruction of justice.
The prosecution called the threats horrific and graphic that will have a long lasting effect on the unidentified woman.
