Chief Says Ann Marie Mullin Cared About Policing

Anne Marie Mullin has died following a period of illness.

The current chair of the Saint John Police Commission and former uptown business owner was well known as a champion for Saint John.

Saint John Police Chief John Bates tells CHSJ News it was clear in all his interactions with her that she was concerned about the betterment of policing.

He says clearly good governance and civilian oversight are an important part of policing in New Brunswick and she wanted to be a part of that.

In a Facebook post, Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long said he was sorry to hear of the passing of Anne Marie Mullin calling her a friend.
