Premier Brian Gallant continues to come under fire for the inflated property tax assessments and what his role was.
The decision to fast track the new technology that’s being blamed for the inflated assessments was made in the Premier’s office.
Provincial Conservative leader Blaine Higgs is accusing Premier Gallant of not answering questions about his role in the decisionmaking. The Premier was asked about that at the Council of Atlantic Premiers meeting in Saint John.
Higgs also accuses the Premier of hiding behind an investigation to be carried out by a judge with his findings expected in August.
