Nashville shut out Chicago 1-zip to take the first game in that series.
In Anaheim, the Ducks beat the Flames 3-2 to take game 1 in that playoff series.
In the Majors, the Orioles got by the Jays 2-1. Josh Donaldson left in the 6th with a sore right calf.
Elsewhere, the Yankees got by the Rays 3-2, the Twins over the Tigers 11-5, the Red Sox got by the Pirates 4-3, the Cubs shut out the Dodgers 4-0, the Rangers over the Angels 8-3, the Chicago White Sox beat up on Cleveland 10-4, the Mets got by the Marlins 9-8. The Brewers, KC and Colorado also won.
In the Q, the 8 and 0 Charlottetown Islanders are going to the third round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
They completed the sweep last night of the Screaming Eagles beating Cape Breton 5-2.
