Holy week is a very busy time in the lives of many. Just ask anyone you know who serves in a church or who is part of a choir.
Some think Easter is more important than Christmas because at this time of year, Christians celebrate Jesus offering humanity and eternal life with Him.
During this Holy Week let us focus our gaze on Jesus and ask for the grace to better understand the mystery of his sacrifice for our sake.

Bishop Robert Harris tells us Holy week includes the chrism mass where oils used all year are blessed, Holy Thursday which mimics the Last Supper and Good Friday which is the remembrance of the passion and death of Jesus.
He says the Easter Vigil is held on Saturday night and because they know that Jesus rose from the dead believers gather to read about the event and celebrate the fact that Jesus is risen and we live our lives in light of that.
Harris says Jesus lived a hidden life for 30 years and for three years he lived a public life.
