Provincial Green Party President Says Membership Numbers On The Rise

The membership for New Brunswick’s Green Party has been growing in the province at a steady pace according to the party president and the number currently stands at around 800.

The party is holding its annual general meeting this weekend and Wayne Dryer says while he believes their policies are the best of any party, they lack the strong infrastructure and organization to be able to put into place the mechanisms to get elected and start implementing policies.

Dryer believes they’re partway there in terms of what they need to do to make some positive change.

We’re told membership has been steadily growing in the province and when it comes to people showing interest for running for office, Dryer says there are quite a few in the wings waiting for the right moment to announce their intentions.

Dryer says the Liberals and Conservatives have existed for a long time and the Green Party is sill in the process of building the infrastructure that will convey their message.
