The provincial legislature resumes sitting today and the property tax assessment scandal is likely to be a hot topic.
But as softwood lumber and dairy products become rhetoric for the Trump administration, trade is likely to be part of the discussion too.
Premier Brian Gallant believes Americans may need to be reminded about how important trade is for them as well as for us.
“We have a good story to tell in the U.S. The United States also depends very much on Canada in trade with our country. Millions of jobs are created in the U.S. because of NAFTA,” he says.
While New Brunswick is the most export-dependent province in the country, Gallant also points out that 30 American states have Canada as their largest trading partner.
