Michael David Graham of Saint John has been charged with an additional five armed bank robberies in the city between last October and January of this year.

Graham is in his mid-50’s and was in court this morning for sentencing after pleading guilty to robbing a bank teller while using a handgun at the Bayview Credit Union off Loch Lomond Road on March 31st. He was arrested that night.
The robberies involved occurred as follows: CIBC on the West side on October 28th 2016, Scotiabank in East Saint John on November 9th 2016, Scotiabank on Main Street North on November 21st 2016, TD Canada Trust at East Point on December 22nd 2016 and CIBC on Consumers Drive on January 5th 2017 and Bayview Credit Union on March 31st 2017.
During the October 28th 2016 robbery at the west side CIBC, Graham told a teller to put the money in a bag adding “Don’t _____ with me” and he left with $7000 from that bank.
In all, he got away with about $40,000 from all six robberies.
Sentencing for Michael Graham has been moved to May 10th at 930am to allow for victim impact statements to be prepared.
Graham requested to be held in federal remand until sentencing and Mr. Justice Andrew Palmer said they would try to accomodate his request.
