An inmate has died while serving time for murder at the maximum security prison in Renous.
Correctional officials say 38-year-old Guy Langlois died on Monday.
Emergency responders were called to the Atlantic Institution and the offender was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Guy Langlois had been serving a sentence for second degree murder since October 2000.
Correctional officials will carry out an internal review of the death.
