The numbers tell a positive story for tourism in Saint John.
Total tourism expenditures increased in 2016 to a new high of $252.4 million according to a report commissioned by MacKellar, Cunningham and Associates Limited.
More people came here last year bringing the total to 1.6 million visitors.

Those who came also spent more money. Higher spending overnight visitors increased by 4.6 per cent to 726,000, that’s the highest number ever recorded by Saint John.
Discover Saint John’s Executive Director Victoria Clarke says their sales and marketing teams are focused on selling the city as a year-round destination.
