Provincial Green Party leader David Coon reports only 57 per cent of young people from low income families had been approved for free tuition.
Coon says this is at least in part because they those applying with poor credit are being denied access to this bursary. He adds many of these same young people are struggling with unpaid credit card, phone or power bills for some years.
Coon says that shouldn’t be surprising and points out why they need financial help the most to better their futures.
