Historica has purchased 28 to 38 King Street, which houses Subway and Ta-Ke Sushi, for $1.1 million.
Keith Brideau is the Founder of Historica and says the plan is to spend between $1-2 million on upgrades.
The plan is to build 20 high-quality apartments, upgrade the office space on the second floor and bring in another retail tenant on the ground level.
Brideau says the ideal fit would be clothing retail that could complement the few that are already on King Street.
He says the project will also create jobs for 30-40 skilled workers and tradespeople.
The plan is to start construction over the next couple of months and Brideau estimates the project will take 12 to 18 months to complete.
