The provincial government sees potential for boosting its bottom line by exporting electricity.
The province and NB Power are forming a new corporation with David Campbell chairing the board of the New Brunswick Energy Solutions Corporation.
Campbell had been the provincial government’s chief economist. He says energy comprises 6 per cent of the provincial economy and there has been talk of building a second reactor at Point Lepreau.
