The deal covers nearly 8000 teachers, principals and more.
It includes adding 250 teachers over the next two years who will work in areas like literacy, numeracy and provide help with gifted and talented students.
The deal includes a research project that will see some students between kindergarten and Grade 2 get another hour of instructional time at 17 schools.
It’s an initiative between the federation and the province and will run for three years and be evaluated by independent experts.
The 5 year agreement includes annual wage increases of one per cent.
