At the Memorial Cup, the Windsor Spitfires beat the O-H-L champion Erie Otters 4-2 to advance to the championship final on Sunday. Erie will play the Saint John Sea Dogs Friday night to determine who advances to the final.

In the NHL tonight, Pittsburgh takes on Ottawa in game 7 of the Eastern Conference final.

In the Majors, Boston batters erupted for seven runs in the 7th inning on their way to a 9-4 victory over Texas. Dustin Pedroia waved home the tiebreaking run on a wild pitch and then singled in two more as the Red Sox turned a 3-1 deficit into a five run lead for their third straight victory. Sam Travis had two singles for the Red Sox in his major league debut and Chris Sale improved to 5 and 2……The New York Yankees shut out Kansas City 3-0 but Jacoby Ellsbury was injured with a concussion after crashing into an outfield wall….The Toronto Blue Jays got four homers including a grand slam by Ryan Goins for an 8-4 win over Milwaukee.
