Musician Apryll Aileen is a winner in the Arts, Culture and Design category.
She tells us feminism is a hot topic right now saying there has not been equality across the board.
Aileen adds before she was alive women were picketing and marching for the basic rights we enjoy now like owning a house, having a bank account and being a legal person.
The awards gala is coming up tonight at the Marco Polo Cruise Ship Terminal starting at 6pm.
