The winner of the 10th anniversary Hospital Home Lottery house was in Spain when his name was announced in the big draw.
Vince Kroetsch of Rothesay tells us one of his sons called him and his wife overseas to let them know they needed to call Jeff McAloon at the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.
He says they eventually connected with Jeff at 2am from Spain and he says they were thrilled to learn of the win.

Kroetsch and his family have bought tickets every year of the lottery.
He says his wife’s family in Spain insisted on rubbing his head for luck and having him purchase tickets to that country’s national lottery which he did.
In a new twist, the winner of the home all gets a cheque for $100,000. Kroetsh picked up that cheque this morning.
This year’s home is located at 11 Heritage Way in Quispamsis on a brand new street.
