The city manager for Saint John has been asked to return to council with a report on hunting within the city limits.
Councillor Sean Casey brought up the issue at Common Council recently after getting reports about people hunting in the Cedar Point area.
Mayor Don Darling, who lives in Westgate, says he has also had calls about gunshots in the wooded area near the gravel pits and he thinks it should be looked into.
City Manager Jeff Trail is expected to report back to the next regular council meeting this month.
